WHAT QUALIFIES US TO MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS?
Great Getaways began 24 years ago and we have over 150 years of combined experience. We’ve made a lot of good friends around the world over the years, people we trust to provide you with the best vacation possible. We don’t just send you to a place, we send you to our friends. As you can imagine, we have a lot of places, cruise lines, hotels, and activities that we can recommend.
THE PROCESS
People often ask us which vendors we recommend. To be honest, the list is long. “Really,” one client pressed, “don’t you have some favorites? I’m sure you’ve got great recommendations for hotels, destinations, and cruises, don’t you?”
That remark got us thinking – Can we come up with a list of preferred partners? How do we share the list with you? We decided to post a list of our favorite partners on our website beginning this year, 2016. Plus, for those of you who live in the greater Kansas City area, we’ve scheduled several evenings throughout the year for you to meet some of our partners in person. You’ll be able to get to know them and learn about their unique offerings.
Coming up with this list was not easy. We struggled to pick a manageable group. We have several favorites and we couldn’t possibly choose them all or we’d overwhelm you. What a high quality problem! We’re lucky to work with so many people we trust and who’ve become good friends.
Here are some qualities we measured to pick our first ever “faves”:
